16/03/2026	Inauguration of the Ashok Soota Molecular Medicine Facility	The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, is pleased to invite you to the Inauguration of the Ashok Soota Molecular Medicine Facility on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The facility will be inaugurated by Shri Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman, Happiest Minds Technologies Limited and Chairman & Managing Trustee, SKAN Research Trust, in the august presence of Prof. K. K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee. The inaugural programme will commence at 10:00 AM and is expected to last approximately 60-75 minutes, followed by interactions and a brief walkthrough of the facility. About the Ashok Soota Molecular Medicine Facility: The Ashok Soota Molecular Medicine Facility has been established as an integrated platform to support drug discovery and the development of diagnostic tools. The facility is designed to enable research teams to move from a fundamental understanding of disease mechanisms and biomolecular targets to experimental validation of lead molecules and assay development. By bringing together complementary capabilities in protein science, molecular and cell biology, biophysics, analytical profiling, and advanced imaging, the facility will support both academic research and translational outcomes across diverse disease areas, including neurological disorders, cancer, metabolic disorders and infectious diseases.
